In This Economy Part time jobs are the only way to go, but How If Everybody gets them before me?

I just saw some Part time jobs and they were taken by someone else in a flash.

Seem there’s 10000 competing for a job, so how the heck can i do it?

I’ve about given up looking for full time jobs cause there’s none

your right,

few are hiring for full time cause they don’t want to have to pay for medical insurance.

How do I find a permanant job in the current economic times?

I have a temp job but, i’m hoping to find a permanant job because I am planning on buying a car and will have monthly car payment when the temp job ends.

Try job agencies and larger companies they are looking for perm/part time staff. Aldi are looking at the moment.

Is there a professional resume writing service in the Nashville area?

I need to consult a service that specializes in writing top notch resumes. I have searched using Google and have not found anything. I need a resume written for an executive, professional, or C-level position. If there are online services (or even a free service) that do this, let me know that as well.

My biggest advice is to NOT use those companies. They charge you a few hundred dollars, and honestly, they create the worst, hardest to read resumes, which will probably hinder your job search.

I appreciate you are busy, but you will get that much more value out of just writing the resume yourself. In all honesty, the content of the resume is more important than the format. Regardless of how much you earn, you can still use a standard word template (in fact I would actually strongly suggest you do), with as little ruffles and lace as possible! Clean lines and not clutter.

As content is most important, do you really think it makes any sense that you trust someone who has not done your job to write up your resume? Also, I see too many people who struggle to speak through their own resume. If you write it yourself, you will know it inside out, giving you an edge on other candidates.

If you need an example of “standard’ format, just send me a message and I’ll be able to send you a few links or write up an example.

I have seen people lose jobs, because of this. Employers thought it was a poor idea commercially and financially, and they established that the potential employee was lazy.

If you are who they want for the job, it will be for your past experiences, charisma, lateral thinking….not the font of your resume.

Good luck!

How do I find and/or apply for a job I won’t be able to start for a few months?

I’m a college graduate with a degree in political science. Right now I just have a part time job near home, but am planning to move to another city (still deciding which one) in a few months. I would like to get a full time job with benefits, maybe as a research assistant. The problem is, I want to line up a job now. I just don’t know how to search for or apply for a job that I can’t start for a few months. Particularly since there aren’t a whole lot of social science jobs I can get without further experience or training, I will need time to tailor my applications. Also, if I can find jobs now in certain cities, it would help me decide which city to live in and I’d be able to find housing in advance.

So please, if you have had similar problems, tell me how you solved them. Details about good search engines would be helpful too. Thanks!

Try contacting companies directly and telling them your goals and your plans to relocate. Most companies will help you relocate and pay some accomadations like the first few months rent and moving costs. Especially if you are right out of university!! You are a very desirable candidate.

When I finished university I applied for jobs directly to the HR department and they flew me down for the interview, hired me, then gave me a 15,000$ signng bonus to help buy a house there and a 3 month tax free living allowance. They wanted me bad casue I was a new buisness graduate and companies will hire you in a heart beat.

Good Luck!!

What are the best job websites to use to find a telecommuting job?

I have a Masters Degree in Library Science. I would like to Find a Job that would allow me to telecommute. Thank you for your assistance.

maybe consider becoming a virtual assistant, where you can pretty much determine your own work load/specialty (and research is certainly a speciality). You are your own boss though – I don’t know if that is what you are looking for.

There is also guru.com for freelance jobs.

Also perhaps try looking up jobs on monster.com – they might have some links that are helpful for you-

GOOD LUCK!
