A network is a way for people to share information. You can hook up multiple computers and share information between them. You can share printers so if 15 computers were near one printer you could all use it. As a network grows they put in servers, places to store and share information not stored on your computer. Your network can become complex with the wired and wireless aspects, and the keeping it safe from intruders. You always see jobs for people with knowledge in networking. Besides Networks you have Intranets, kind of smilar to a private internet. but similar to a network. Sometimes lots of Networks maybe connected by one intranet. Hope this answers a little of your question without confusing and getting technical

I’m an interior designer by trade and haven’t been able to Find a Job in almost a year. I am looking/have been looking for a job the entire time, but when it comes down to the interview, the same two questions always comes up. Why haven’t you worked in the past year? Why did you leave your last job? Then I never hear from the employer again. Truth is I quit my last job because I didn’t like the way management was running the store (was a retail sales position) and I wasn’t getting along with the assistant manager. So my question is what is the best response to these questions? I’m hoping to recieve a well qualified answer from someone who has been through this or from someone who would be hiring in this field.
Go get this book, either at the library or at the bookstore. It’s awesome.
“How to Answer Tough Interview Questions” by Martin John Yate.
You’ll sail through your next interview.

Go do some volunteer work helping the homeless or in the hospital. How can they award you a degree without some form of fieldwork?
