The title of my video, Broken, not only refers to the Democratic Party leadership, but to a Broken Society overall – namely OURS. There isnt much time left, before broken dreams turn into nightmares for all of us.
Small business owners are driven out of business due to the massive influence of global corporations, with which they cannot compete. Workers are pitted against each other, because of the never ending outsourcing and the threats to livelihoods. Many will accept ANY job, oftentimes 2 jobs, just to make ends meet. Two part-time jobs, with no benefits, no insurance, no retirement plan, nothing. These workers, in turn, are competing against illegal immigrants, whom unscrupulous employers are willing to hire, involving HUGE corporations, because they want to avoid Social Security Taxes or any kind of taxes, whatsoever. The illegals are entering our country, because their own governments are screwing them equallyand govts and corporations work in tandem.
The best way to drive ALL WAGES down is to keep un-employment figures high in our so-called developed nations. Because people here will eventually become so desperate, so as to accept virtual slave wages. Its not about raising living standards its a race to the bottom for everybody, except for the global financial elitewhich comprises 5% of the worlds population at best. This is a prescription for long term disaster, because it will mean un-ending wars for dwindling resources.
I wish, I had the answer to all of this but I dont. In evolutionary terms, I dont think our species will survive much longer. Measured in millennia, that is. Some our higher brain-functions are also self-destructive. Personally, thats a different matter. I like people and try not foster hate amongst our kind. But I dont like all of them.and have only loved a few. I have never hated anyone enough to want to kill them much less torture them. But I have only encountered some rather extreme situations once or twice. Prolonged exposure to thisnever. So, I can only speak for myself.

Last time I visited my old neighborhood there… about 5 years ago, and all Turkish now, I was never accosted by anyone – although viewed with a bit of suspicion. I agree that there’s a growing national disenchantment of some kind, and I think the nation as a whole is struggling to find out what’s wrong with itself. I would assume that under a statist society, the regulation ought to come from the body representing the collective interests of the people (which in this scenario could be construed as individual rational self interest).
