Are you still Active? If you’re not, you’re not considered enlisted…you are a vet.
If you are looking for a job as a vet, try www.usajobs.com or look up job info on www.military.com , it offers links to vet-friendly employers.
You can also look up your cities website. Most cities have their own websites that offer government jobs, which can give you preference for being a vet.

Most heavy equipment operator jobs would be in the paper. What I would do if I were you would be to either go through the yellow pages or google construction companies in your area and send them a resume or go there an apply in person.

Don’t waste your time with an employment agency. I went through about 4 when I got out and after 6 months the job I found, I got on my own. Civilians don’t really understand military and alot of times they don’t know what to make of our experience. go to http://www.militarystars.com and register for a military job fair. It’s an entire job fair for employers who value military experience. Also when you did your ACAP, they should have given you assistance on where to find a job and preparing your resume.
